Great Yarmouth is located on the coast and is approximately 20 miles east of Norwich. Great Yarmouth is known as the gateway to the Norfolk broads and has been a popular seaside resort since 1760. Sheringham is a picturesque seaside town located on the Norfolk's east coast that offers a great day out discovering its history. Visit Cromer, which is situated on Norfolk's coast just east of Sheringham and just over 20miles north of Norwich. Early in the19th century Cromer became a resort and rich families from Norwich made it their summer home that can now often be rented as luxury holiday apartments and cottages. Cromer also has a late Victorian pier on which is the Pavilion theatre. Mundesley is a coastal village situated on the Norfolk coast south east of Cromer. Mundesley has become a seaside resort with many caravan parks and hotels due to its sandy beaches and was a very popular resort in Victorian times. The village has many restaurants and pubs the oldest pub dating back to 1836 called the Ship. Mundesley also has a small maritime museum and the village has many amenities. | |||||||||
